ISO/IEC JTC1/SC2/WG2 (Universal Character Set)
and Unicode
WG2 is the ISO/IEC working group responsible for the Universal Character Set; Michael Everson is Irish national representative to this working group, and is a Contributing Editor of ISO/IEC 10646.
Unicode is the industrial implementation standard for the Universal Character Set; Michael Everson is one of the authors and editors of The Unicode Standard version 3.0.
Most of the papers here are proposals to augment this International Standard with new scripts and characters.
